A diplomat had a knack for getting people to work together. When the diplomat can aid others and give directions, she provides a bonus to the task at hand by making an aid another check. The bonus is in addition to the normal aid another bonus of +2 (see page 165), and it increases as the diplomat gains levels. So ,the diplomat provides a total +3 bonus at 4th level (+2 aid another bonus, +1 cooperation bonus), a +4 bonus at 8th level, etc. This ability can't be used to assist in combat.
Starting feats
The diplomat begins play with the following feats: Weapon group proficiency (blaster pistols) Weapon group proficiency (simple weapons).
Inspire confidence
Beginning at 2nd level, a diplomat can use oratory to inspire confidence in allies, bolstering them and improving their chances of success. An ally must listen to and observe the diplomat for a full round for the inspiration to take hold. The effect lasts for 5 rounds. The diplomat, can inspire a number of allies equal to half her diplomat levels, rounded up. She can inspire confidence once per day for every four levels of diplomat she possesses (once per day from 1st to 4th level, twice per day from 5th to 8th level and so on). An ally inspired with confidence gains a +2 morale bonus on saving throws and a +1 morale bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. The diplomat can't inspire confidence in herself. The ability only aids her allies.
Bonus feat
At 4th, 9th, 14th, and 19th level, the diplomat gains a bonus feat. This feat must be selected from the following list, and the noble must meet any prerequisites. Frightful Presence, Ironwill, Mimic, Persuasive, Sharp-Eyed, Skills emphasis, Trustworthy.
Improved diplomacy +1
At 4th level, the diplomat begins to learn the real skills of his profession and gain +1 competence bonus to all Bluff, Diplomacy and Sense motive checks. This bonus increase to +2 at 8th level, +3 at 12th level, +4 at 16th level and +5 at 20th level.
Diplomatic assistant
At 5th level, the diplomat gain the loyal service of an assistant. This npc character become the right hand of the diplomat and is willing to carry out any instruction given to them. The attache begin his carrer at the side of the diplomat as a 1st level character. The class of the assistant is the player choice with the GM approval. The attache will improve by one level every time that the diplomat gain a level. This loyal assistant is usually attracted by the diplomat fame or assigned by the gouvernment or employer of the diplomat.
Inspire greatness
Beginning at 11th level, a diplomat can inspire greatness in an ally, granting extra fighting capability. An ally inspired with greatness gain +2d6 temporary vitality points, a +2 competence bonus on attacks, a +2 morale bonus to saving throws. The effect lasts for 5 rounds. The diplomat can inspire greatness once per day. For every three diplomat levels attained beyond 11th level, the diplomat can inspire greatness in one additionnal ally.
