Some enlist voluntarily, some are called to serve, and some are forced to by oppressive regimes. Regardless of motivation for it, a soldier is a seasoned combatant - if he hasn’t been in a theatre of war himself, he’s been trained extensively by those who have, and hardened into an intelligent weapon.
Any resistance fighter that totes an AK-47 and knows where to point the muzzle when the trigger is pulled is not a soldier. A soldier is trained, precise, and disciplined, and is worth many times his number in these lesser combatants. He is well trained with the arms he’s carrying, and can make each bullet count far more than those whose tactic is “spray and pray”. He is often just as deadly in melee combat as at range, as martial arts are commonly a part of basic training.
Even the least soldier is a formidable combatant, and can travel long distances on foot without losing his effectiveness. In addition, almost every soldier knows the basics of field medicine, and is able to save dying allies even when proper medical supplies are not available.
Role:Soldiers excel at combat—defeating their enemies, protecting weaker allies, controlling battle, and surviving such sorties themselves. While their specific weapons and methods grant them a wide variety of tactics, few can match soldiers for sheer battle prowess.

Bonus feat
At each odd level, the soldier gain a general new feat that can be choose in the following list:
A Soldier gains a +2 bonus to Treat Injury skill checks to perform first aid and to stabilize a dying character, and may make these checks without the use of proper tools.
Starting feats
Soldier begins play with the following feats: Weapon group proficiency (blaster rifles) Weapon group proficiency (blaster pistols) Weapon group proficiency (simple weapons) Weapon group proficiency (heavy weapons) Weapon group proficiency (sword/vibro weapons) Armor proficiency (light) Armor proficiency (medium)
Bravery +1
Starting at 2nd level, a soldier gains a +1 bonus on Will saves against fear. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd.
Conditioning
At third level, a soldier’s movement speed is not reduced by medium armor or by a medium load.
Overwatch +1
Starting at 3rd level, a soldier gains a +1 bonus on Sport and Listen checks. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels thereafter.
Weapon training
Starting at 5th level, a soldier can select one group of weapons, as noted below. Whenever he attacks with a weapon from this group, he gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls. This ability does not grant proficiency if the soldier is not proficient with weapons in the group.
Every four levels thereafter (9th, 13th, and 17th), a soldier becomes further trained in another group of weapons. He gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls when using a weapon from this group. In addition, the bonuses granted by previous weapon groups increase by +1 each. For example, when a soldier reaches 9th level, he receives a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one weapon group and a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls with the weapon group selected at 5th level. Bonuses granted from overlapping groups do not stack. Take the highest bonus granted for a weapon if it resides in two or more groups.
A soldier also adds this bonus to any combat maneuver checks made with weapons from this group. This bonus also applies to the soldier's Combat Maneuver Defense when defending against disarm and sunder attempts made against weapons from this group.
blaster rifles blaster pistols simple weapons heavy weapons sword/vibro weapons
Juggernaut
At 19th level, a soldier gains Damage Reduction 5/— whenever he is wearing armor and ignores the environmental effects of extreme heat and extreme cold.
Art of War
At 20th level, a soldier chooses one weapon that falls within one of his Weapon Training categories. Any attacks made with that weapon automatically confirm all critical threats and have their damage multiplier increased by 1 (×2 becomes ×3, for example). In addition, he cannot be disarmed while wielding any weapon with which he is proficient, and may switch weapons as a free action at any point during a full attack action.
